NFP Nurse Supervisor

Ms. Rachel Hansen is Nurse Supervisor for Children’s Futures” Nurse-Family-Partnership (NFP) program.  NFP is an evidence based national program where nurses meet with first time parents in their homes prenatally until age two.  As the supervisor her role is to assure that the NFP Program is implemented in accordance with established guidelines.  Using principles of supervision, reflective practice, and staff development, she provides primary support and oversight to the nurse home visitors to build and model a strengths-based, client-centered culture.

Before coming to the Children’s Futures she worked for Mercer St Friends Center for 15 years.  She has practiced community health nursing in Mercer County for over 20 years. Prior to that she worked as a staff nurse at The Children’s Hospital in Boston, MA.

Ms. Hansen has a Bachelors’ of Science in Nursing and is a graduate of Goshen College.
