NFP Nurse Home Visitor

Cynthia Hampton works through Children’s Futures Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) program, as a nurse home visitor with at risk mothers and their children. Her course curriculum includes pregnancy care and staying healthy during all stages of pregnancy. In her role, she provides information on nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention. Her background also includes educating clients on the importance of child development and effective parenting. Mrs. Hampton provides guidelines to individual clients that includes self-sufficiency, resources for continued education, and pathways out of poverty.

Cynthia has worked as a home visiting nurse for 14 years and is one of the original nurses who started with the program in in 2002. Previously, she worked for the City of Trenton in different wards setting up well-baby clinics and various home visitation programs. She worked as a nurse manager in long-term care and medical surgical and at Mill Hill Daycare Center where she provided health education to clients and their children. Ms. Hampton enjoys providing resources and encouragement to an at risk population.

Ms. Hampton has experience in Psychiatric Nursing and worked at the Trenton Psychiatric Hospital and St. Francis Psychiatric ward.
