NFP Nurse Home Visitor

Phyllis Brown is a nurse home visitor through Children’s Futures Nurse-Family Partnership program. As a registered nurse she delivers support to vulnerable first time moms to have a healthy pregnancy. In her role she helps new mothers become knowledgeable and responsible parents so their babies will have the best possible start in life. Nurse-Family Partnership services have shown to help break the cycle of poverty, strengthen communities, and improve lives.

Ms. Brown has been a nurse working in Women’s’ Health for her entire career. Her work experience spans the woman’s lifespan from maternity to menopause and beyond. Ms. Brown has worked in the various departments of nursing, including labor and delivery, birthing center, newborn nurseries, college health and family planning within gynecological clinics.

Ms. Brown has her B.S. in Nursing, Magna cum Laude, from Adelphi University, Garden City , N.Y. and M.S. in Nursing from Columbia University , N.Y.C.,N.Y.
