Nurse Home Visitor

Marie Ferreira is a Nurse Home Visitor through Children’s Futures Nurse-Family Partnership program. As a registered nurse, she delivers support to first-time mothers in order to increase positive birth outcomes. In her role, she provides education on pregnancy, baby care, and parenting. In addition, Ms. Ferreira assists clients with achieving various personal goals, as well as connects mothers and families with valuable community resources to assist with various aspects of their lives. By establishing close relationships with her clients, she is able to provide them with the long-term, personalized support they need to build their confidence as new mothers. Nurse-Family Partnership services have shown to keep children healthy and safe and improve the lives of moms and babies.

Ms. Ferreira has been working as a Registered Nurse since 2016. Her various disciplines have included medical-surgical, post-operative care, rehabilitation services, and surgical telemetry. Prior to becoming a nurse, she worked as a public school Health and Physical Education teacher since 2009.

Ms. Ferreira obtained her B.S. in Nursing, Cum Laude, from New Jersey City University and her B.S. in Education from The College of New Jersey.
